Centrix Energy Partners, LLC and Facility Advocates, LLC Announce Merger to Strengthen and Expand Their Midwestern Presence
Centrix Energy Partners, LLC, a nationwide professional services firm that provides planning, design, construction, and financing for public sector clients across the United States (“Centrix”), and Facility Advocates, LLC, a leading Nebraska K-12 firm focused on planning, design, and construction projects (“Facility Advocates”), formally announced their merger earlier today, adding significant operational capabilities and financial resources to meet the strong demand coming from their Midwestern clients.
Adam Corwin, President of Centrix, will oversee the integration of the companies and will lead the combined organization. “Our growth in the Midwest has been unprecedented and has far surpassed our initial expectations. As a result of our strategic merger last year with Upper 90 in Wisconsin and our continued organic growth in Michigan, Indiana, and Illinois, it became obvious that we needed to increase our investment and stimulate further growth into the neighboring states of Nebraska, Kansas, and Iowa,” Corwin said. “All of our detailed due diligence kept leading us back to Facility Advocates and Dave Raymond (the Founder of Facility Advocates) as the most experienced, locally-based Team that could help Centrix to deliver our turnkey suite of services to clients throughout the Heartland Region.”
Over the last five (5) years, Facility Advocates has become one of the largest providers of planning, design, and construction in the K-12 market in Nebraska and has shown increasing success in neighboring states as well. Raymond added, “our goal from the very beginning was to become the most trusted provider of construction services to the public sector market in our region. Our work with over forty (40) school districts, many of them repeat clients, has now proven that our recipe is working.” As Facility Advocates continued to grow and expand into new markets, and into work with cities and counties, it became clear to Raymond that a strategic partnership with a national firm that could fuel and support that growth would be important. “I took a very methodical approach to exploring and objectively evaluating which firms could not only support our goals for growth but would also be a strong cultural fit for our company. We take great pride in how we treat our employees and how our employees take care of our clients. Throughout the past year of exploring this potential partnership with Centrix, and with several other national firms as well, it became increasingly obvious to me that Centrix was the only firm that truly mirrored our core values, our commitment to quality implementation, and our long-term approach to supporting clients. It was an easy decision.”
The combined company will move to aggressively expand into neighboring states around Nebraska and will now bring the entire Centrix suite of turnkey solutions to clients throughout the territory. Corwin added, “our bonding capabilities exceeding $250M and our existing corporate engineering and construction management resources will now enable Dave and our Team in the Heartland Region to develop and implement comprehensive projects with the scope and magnitude that were not previously possible.”
Raymond will locally lead the combined efforts of Facility Advocates and Centrix under the name “Facility Advocates, a Centrix Company” and will also provide Executive Leadership and coaching within the larger Centrix national footprint. “We are now in a much better position to deliver the same great results that our Nebraska-based clients have previously come to expect, but also do it on a much larger scale and across a much larger geography.” Raymond added that the technical training, career advancement opportunities, and enhanced benefits for its existing employees were also key factors in completing this strategic merger with Centrix.
